Dropbox is a well designed and executed application. The interface is clean and easy to figure out. Installation was straight forward and worked without any problems.

Plans & Pricing
Dropbox is a Freemium service, and here is how the plans are priced:

Free you get 2GB and can increase the size by referring people. By the way if you do decide to give dropbox a try could you click the link below so we can get a little more storage space? Does not cost you anything and it helps out our site.

Pro: you get 100GB for $9.99/month 200GB for $19.99/month or 500GB for $49.99/month if you pay for a year in advance you save roughly 2 monthly payments or 17%

Teams: They start at $795/1000GB/5 users and the prices go up from there. The team plans provide some advanced features not found in the Free and Pro plans including: Active Directory integration, phone support, and as much storage as you need.

Dropbox Compared to
There are quite a few other options in this space. We chose to compare Dropbox with its most similar competitors, Google Drive and Sugar Sync.

Price
When it comes to price Dropbox is on the more expensive end

Google Drive is the least expensive and Sugar Sync is the most expensive. For 100GB of monthly Storage:
Google Drive is $4.99/month, Dropbox starts at $9.99/month, and SugarSync is $14.99/month

when you look at $/GB
Google Drive is $.05/GB Dropbox is $0.10/GB and SugarSync is $0.15/month
There are other factors to consider but this is how the three compare when it comes to pricing.

Sharing Features
Dropbox wins this one, it is much easier to share files. Quite a few people have Dropbox accounts and are comfortable using the app. More people have google accounts, think Gmail, but not that many use them for storing and sharing files. SugarSync is also easy to share we just found that we like dropbox a little better.

Summary
If you have not signed up for a free dropbox account, it is worth considering. We use dropbox (among others) at CloudStorageReviews and it works great. Now should you move up to a paid account, well that depends. There are other lower cost solutions, Google Drive, which pretty much do the same thing.

I would say this. If most of the people you know use dropbox and you can afford the price, then dropbox is a good way to go. If you are looking for a lower cost option and sharing files with other is not as important then some of the other options may be a better fit. Just know if you do go with dropbox you are getting a great service from a great company.

I hope this review has been helpful.
